Botox Treatment for Fine Lines and Wrinkles

In Auckland, cosmetic procedures are becoming popular because they give great and absolute results. A type of non-surgical cosmetic procedure is performed to restore facial expressions and to correct skin-problems such as signs of ageing, fine lines and wrinkles etc. A type of cosmetic solution also known as anti-wrinkle solution is used in the procedure to treat signs of ageing and other types of skin imperfections. This solution is Botox. It is highly purified toxin that can erase or reduce horizontal forehead lines, vertical frown lines, and crow's-feet, wrinkles etc.

Remember this solution cannot erase skin imperfection permanently. It is not a permanent solution to get rid of skin problems but yea it can temporarily erase or reduce wrinkles and fine lines. However, repeat sessions are performed by experts so that effect lasts longer. What happens is that Botox is injected in a very small amount into the muscle in the skin (area need to be treated). A very fine needle is used. The injections slow muscles that contract hundreds of times a day and eventually etching lines in the skin. This solution is also used to lift the corners of the mouth that sag with age. It also helps in correcting and smoothing out the pin-cushion that look in some chins and can soften smoker's lines around the mouth, and also soften vertical neck cords.

Botox does not affect the nerves that cause sensation. It does not make patient feel numb. If it is used correctly, (always consider to get the procedure done by highly experienced medical practitioner), it can bring desirable changes in the appearance for example, it can lift the brow to give an appealing and sincere look, and it can correct wrinkle problems so that person get youthful appearance. Just like most injections are quite painful, better to say, injections give pinching sensations such as ant-biting, Botox can be slightly painful, especially between the eyebrows.

Some experts give topical anesthesia ten minutes before the procedure. Some experts offer to ice the area to numb it. This is to ensure that the patient remains calm and comfortable during the procedure. Side effects such as bruising, swelling and redness in the area treated are associated with the post-procedure which is completely normal and temporary.
